For all the changemakers

Who forget that they matter:

I’ve lived this life

I’ve people pleased to the max

I laid my life down for the mission

I was so focused

I didn’t see

That I too

Was also called–

Called to be loved

You matter as much

As those you serve

You matter as much

As the neighbor you love

You matter as much

As those you fight for

Change the world, please

Uplift the oppressed, indeed

Walk alongside the poor, oh yes

Listen well and do good better

Bring unheard voices forth

I just ask that you don’t forget

Your very own belovedness
